2024-09-19 07:35:34 +0000 UTCAqua has been shown as someone whose very good at reading people and spends a lot of time analyzing other people's personalities and behaviors so I think when he was reading the group chat he could tell something was off or he had a feeling she might be planning something like this. This was a very anxiety inducing episode but it was really well done. Excited to see where they take it in the next episode.

2024-09-15 19:13:50 +0000 UTCthe little pink petals seen near the end are cherry blossoms which can have a symbolism in relation to self harm and the fleetingness of life, the thinh about wanting to stop thinking is so real, i was suicidal aboyt 8 years agi (100 persent fine now) but it was the exhaustion and not been able to sleep because i kept thinking about the issue that nealy sent me over the edge but medication to calm myself and taking up a fitness regime which left me tied at the end of the day so i fell sleep helped me to get through it, if anyone is ever think about this see this video fron who the world health orginisation

2024-09-15 19:13:44 +0000 UTCWell, I'm a vegetarian too, and I too don't have any qualms about others eating meat. I just get inexplicably nauseous/disgusted at the idea of eating meat, like how some people can't handle raw tomatoes. But I accept that as a me problem, so I understand Akane in not wanting to eat meat, but having not having any problem grilling it and serving it to others.

2024-09-15 16:40:14 +0000 UTCThe fascinating thing of the episode is it started off as a very light hearted example of ego surfing with Ruby searching herself and transitioning to the darker more sinister form of ego surfing with Akane.

2024-09-15 15:38:29 +0000 UTCArguably one of the most important episodes in media tbh. It tackles such a real topic that we can see everyday, but never dive deep enough to see what happens to the victims behind the screens who are truly innocent. The episode description on HIDIVE said it best, "Remember what you said in righteous outrage online? There were consequences. You never saw them, but that didn't make them any less real, nor hold you any less accountable." Anyways, on a more positive note. SHE'S FINALLY HERE! AKANE MY BELOVED! My best girl!

2024-09-15 15:20:30 +0000 UTCYeah this could be a huge coincidence (it really happens). But could also be a way of the author from protecting himself from ppl saying he is using a tragedy to his advantage, as ppl can always see the worst side of everything. It's impossible to bring a serious subject like this into a story, even if it's with the objective of raising awareness, without lots of ppl accusing you of doing it with bad intentions.

2024-09-15 15:19:24 +0000 UTCIDK man, this was already addressed by the author. They already have this storyboarded months before the Hana Kimura incident. It was just a coincidence that these lined up. While you can say that the statement was purely PR, I would trust that someone who is making a story basically exposing the other side of show businesses to not do something like that.

2024-09-15 14:58:16 +0000 UTCThe heartbreaking part of this is that Akane actually jumped. She was saved but she jumped.

2024-09-15 14:30:53 +0000 UTCThe author probably made this scene based on a real case that happened in Japan a few months before this manga chapter was released. In 2019 there was a show produced by Netflix called Terrace House, and after very agressive online messages towards one of the cast members, Hana Kimura, she took her own life. This probably impacted the author who were already writing a manga about the dark side of the entertainment industry, and he decided to portrait this in the manga to raise awareness.
