Every time you hear the intro to that track play you know you're about to see a stunning, visual masterpiece.

Ya know, I never put this together... but you're almost certainly on to something. It actually kind of explains one of the strange things that happened in the first episode. Something that always bugged me is "Why would Turbo-Granny-Possessing-Okarun go through Momo's phone?" I always just explained it away as "Plot needs to plot" and just accepted that it could be kind of explained off as "Turbo Granny was just doing evil spirit things and haunting the other voice that was in her territory". But... Your theory actually makes more sense. Turbo Granny probably specifically is against the aliens because they mention that they "prefer woman people" as targets... aka... they are the ones kidnapping, violating, and mutilating (removing their "banana" organs) young girls. Aka the thing Turbo Granny fights against. So overhearing the chaos on the otherside of the phone after she possessed Okarun led her to go there to "defend a young girl in danger" (Momo). Unfortuantely for Turbo Granny Momo is a beast and Excorcised Okarun and her cursing Okarun put them at odds afterwards.

The William Tell Overture remix was great, I loved this entire episode. I can't wait for more of Dandadan! Them both realizing saying goodbye is not what they wanted was so wholesome and cute. I'm glad Momoka said see you tomorrow so Okarun knows he has a friend.

I think the real intriguing part is the specific lines used by Seiko when talking about the girls who became the crab "violated, cut to pieces and dumped" sounds alot like a killer at face value, but also it can be seen as alien abductions aswell maybe not from the ones in ep 1 but another alien species who end up killing the girls they abduct, then again i might be overthinking it aswell haha.

Ciego

Oh yeah, on the note of the location bound spirit. I believe last episode it was mentioned that her location is the entire city, which is why they had to lure granny out.

Guado

After learning about turbo granny watching over the spirits of violated and murdered girls it made me think that she instinctively saved Momo from the Aliens in episode 1

i really cant unhear luffy xDDD

tracee miasco

yup at the end "sayonara" I think means more like "goodbye forever" you normally use it if you think you'll never see that person again. So they normally say "see you tomorrow" as a "byebye"

About the signal Momo makes with her hand to Okarun, it's just a "thumbs up", kinda like "it's ok" or "let's do this". About Momo's VA, she didn't act in many roles so far, she's kinda young. I don't think you guys watched any shows that she worked until now, but she did a few really good characters in recent shows, like "Too Many Losing Heroines" that aired last season. She voices a character in Mushoku Tensei that Prez is reacting to in the other channel, but you still haven’t met the character.

Pedro Lobo

wtf was this episode😂. This is probably the weirdest show I've seen but it's a fun watch fs. Also, that song being thrown in there caught me off guard in the best way possible

Connor Broekhuizen

as a manga reader you’re right about the song usage lmao. thats whats great about anime adaptations! i love the dandadan manga, and the turbo granny fight was the one that got definitely got me hooked. now watching the anime and seeing all the creative choices the studio makes for the music and animation is so cool. like who could predict the altered can can song to play in okarun’s full throttle scene 😂
