one other youtuber brought up something from the yearbook scene. when yamada first saw the picture of ichikawa & he said “pretty much the same as now” she replied with “no, you’re completely different.” he interpreted that as her showing him that she sees all the changes he’s made and is making. i wonder if that was the intention because that’d be really beautiful

Ichikawa in the first episode says something like ".... And the one I want to kill the most is Anna Yamada". Just as those books and his fixation on killing is his way of fooling himself and not getting hurt because he can't fit in with others, the fact that she is his main target is because he can't (or won't) accept that the strong feeling he has for her is love.

Most uphill series I've ever seen, there is no lull in quality and it just continues to improve from the start. Which is crazy considering the start is still good! S2 made this show go from a 7.5 / 8 in my mind to a 10/10. Looking forward to more and hearing more of yall's insights.

Respectfully, it’s a little more than “some material covering after end of S2”. S2 ends at Chapter 115, as of 2 hours ago, the mangaka has put out Chapter 155. There are some GREAT story points in both their developments. I definately recommend!!!

for what I understood the movie will be a recap but with a "few more scene" idk if they'll add those scene that I know every manga reader want or it's basically a recap. I don't even think there will be an announcement after around 3 years and another 2 years for dev. S1 and S2 is 113 ep in the manga and rn is on ep 154 I think so yeah... it's gonna take a while

Firstly for me the Sister is just MVP is like she didn't try to "annoy" last ep to his brother probably having a friend or even a gf, she even tried to know a bit more about Yamada and then left so they can have some space and private time in their house is like DAMN sister is the crazy MVP. She never tried to embarrass in front of his brother's crush just when she's not there

They announced a movie sequel for 2025. There is not enough material in the manga for a full season, so they make a movie.

As you pointed out, Ichikawa is very smart. How do you think he felt when he couldn't pass an entrance exam then? It feels like the most defining part of you was taken away. Of course, your confidence/self-esteem in yourself would be lowered from that. A crazy extent comparison is like Shirogane from Kaguya, his whole thing is academics, and he feels worthless without it. Also notice that when he has the scarf on, like what he said the first time, he can't look down, he's kinda forced to look up more. As I said before, Yamada is just meeting Ichikawa where he's comfortable and nudging him forward instead of pulling him out all the way. I think that's very mature of Yamada and something I feel not a lot of people can read into the situation like that, especially at their age.

However good you thought season 1 was, multiply that by 100 for season 2. I'm like 90% sure there's a season 3 coming out within the next year or two but I'm too lazy to check right now. When it does, it's gonna be season 2 times 100.

My hunch is Norio Sakurai used that as a hook, but then realised people cared for the characters and that more than anything, so she dropped it pretty quick, otherwise she'd have probably kept it for longer, but who knows.
