You don't need to know the exact dollar value of the Yen to say understand in Kaguya-Sama that she's trying to use the equivalent of a hundred dollar bill in a coffee vending machine.

My mom did that with the flights and hotel of her most recent vacation because she needed "inspiration for a new book" and the tax office was like "yup seems about right" xD
