All the locations, scenery, weapons, implants, people, language, music, everything is straight out of the game. And while they did add a little over the top anime bs, it's still 100% a cyberpunk story. It's so cool to watch this after spending 100-200 hours immersed in the game. Then they somehow managed to make it a compelling and intense emotional story even for people who have no experience with the game. Trigger did such an incredible job with this.
