DanDaDan Episode 7

It's episodes like these that make properly done anime so special when compared to the manga. While the manga was touching it didn't have the proper time (just a few pages versus the minutes in the episode), motion, acting and music to go along with it. Great job to the director, Kōtarō Matsunaga, and Science SARU!

Direction, story, music, animation, everything in this episode is perfect. This may be one of my all time favorite episodes of an anime ever. I sob every time I watch that backstory.

Not a manga reader: My headcannon is that the debt that was owed to the lownsharks was the deadbeat (or dead) father's. They'll collect on anyone related if they can't find the borrower. Reference: Chainsaw Man Also, the kind of debt she'd have to accumulate where her daughter was considered as slave collateral doesn't make sense for her character.

yeah, the anime didnt really show it as well but there is like a split second showcase of her jumping off the building if you slow it down right

I may be mistaken but i think during the dance sequence she jumped off to her doom because she looked to be ontop of a building, thats why there was that crunch during the daughter sequence when she said thank you. which makes it even more tragic, i didnt think a show about getting balls and a weiner back would have such a strong and emotional episode but damn what an episode
