We didn't even know it at the time. But the biggest meta joke of the series was that they animated Ito style horror better than the Uzamaki anime did.

It's a music venue, so you can't enter without paying for admission anyway, but yes, they do have a sign put up which says no photos beyond this point at the top of the stairs because of the influx of fans who crowded the entrance just to take a picture. However, you can see the iconic Shelter/Starry sign easily enough from the walkway next to it without bothering the people queuing up.
