Fun Fact: When this episode aired, the author of the manga released a special chapter where it goes into the entire backstory of Nijika and her family from her sister's perspective and it was the most saddest fucking thing ever and made me tear up so much. It made this episode hit so much harder and it just makes me more proud of Kessoku Band as a whole. (Also Nijika now singing in the credits YAY)

Some things are scarier than her social anxiety, like losing the band that gave her a safe space and friends. It forces her to change and grow to obtain something she wants.

Compared to episode 5, their playing was off-rhythm as well as Kita's singing and she was also off-tune here and there. And those mistakes were made so realistic that you can really feel how nervous they were. I also wanna give extra credit to Kita's VA since pretending to sing poorly even though you are capable of good singing is actually really hard.

2024-12-15 17:33:09 +0000 UTCI'm not a big music person so its difficult for me to tell how well it comes across in the show, but Bocchi is meant to be INCREDIBLY good at guitar, especially as a solo act. Nijika and Kita just sold tickets to their friends. Ryo is a good musician (she does compose their songs after all) and sold tickets to fans of her old band. But Bocchi was able to convince three people who heard her play once to come see her play in a typhoon. Essentially Bocchi just started playing as she usually does, rather than trying to match her bandmates and forced them to match her, which they all managed to pull off in the heat of the moment.
