Yeah and I'm glad you clocked on to the fact that Ichikawa's sister was great. I think one thing I liked about this anime was how it showed positive family influence for both Ichikawa and Yamada. I feel like in a lot of anime the family is kinda non-existant or completely irrelevant. I really liked how both Ichikawa and Yamada were close with their family and how Ichikawa's sister was really supportive of him, while still being a shitstirrer older sister.

2026-01-14 03:58:48 +0000 UTCI don't have it as bad as others, given I accidentally waited a year until after it's "finished", but now the wait for the movie feels like hell and the wait for season 3 even more so. I saved this show cause the premise sounded funny, I figured it'd turn around and become a romance, but not as fast as it did and how wholesome the ride has been. I expected something like the first episode, but I expected the "I wanna kill her/someone" to stick around for 1 or 2 seasons... I'm glad I was wrong. This is the most I've enjoyed a show as feeling unique and special since Made In Abyss (I felt anime was becoming dull and repetitive around 400 watched, my friend forced me to watch MIA, and I cried cause of enjoyment.) Similar to back then, I found myself crying every episode this season from enjoyment. It's funny, I was always told that kids/teens just fall in love superficially, like Adachi does. Yet I never had that, I loved deeply and formed a bond with each girl I've been with long-term. It was never just straight into dating, but a bond built upon. Now, as an adult, it feels like every girl who is into me just wants to expedite the process; I miss the nervousness in being asked out, the fragility. Long story short, this is a very cute and beautiful romcom, one of the only things to make me genuinely cherish every episode in a long time. I hope for it to stay this good, if not get better... I will binge Dress Up Darling and that new Flower anime soon, hopefully they're good... Gonna need something to carry this feeling along

It’s similar to Dangers with how it focuses a lot on character development and growth. It also has a phenomenal romance story. I know for a fact you guys will like it.

One always finds the courage to take the next step, so the other has the confidence to do the same. Also, so wholesome that Kyo confesses first, but Ana asks him out.

Since she doesn’t have experience writing light novels, she kind of had to collaborate with someone who has. The new light novel's chapters are still supervised by Norio, but I guess I ain't convincing ya 😅

But only in confession chapter comes from yamada's pov, the chaper names goes like :"i want to tell her, my love for her and i want to respond, my love for him". Its is so good and cute.

I'm sad it's over but think this show will stick with you like it did with me. Kaguya might be funnier and Bunny Girl more novel but Dangers simply is the best

There are 4 chapters, with each focusing on specific characters, including a few side characters' POV. They also reference canon events from the manga and extras, which is neat. It is written by a different author, but under the manga author's supervision.

We didn't know we where watching dubbed anime in the late 70's into the 80's. To answer your question though I'm probbly the oldest on channel at 64.

I've been watching anime since the 90's and I say we are currently in a second golden age for rom/com. The current crop of manga/LN that are ongoing with anime adaptations is unprecedented. Although I really wish they could have done a double episode to keep with more of the order of events from the manga; the order in the anime works, but I def prefer the manga order overall, but I think it wouldn't have worked for pacing to split in 2 w/ original order. Also feels really nice that they both learn to accept who they are as part of their character arcs.

The lyrics are heavily inspired by Ichikawa's confession, Yamada's answer and their interactions in the library. It hits 100% different after watching this episode.

2024-12-15 00:07:13 +0000 UTCThe manga not only has more to adapt, it is still going, S2 ends with Volume 8, they did 4 volumes per season, we are currently 4 chapters into Volume 12, which could probably finish around spring-summer next year, giving enough to adapt for a 3rd season, taking into account production time, Early-Mid 2026 seems likely IF they do it.

It’s been such a fun ride witnessing Ichikawa and Yamada's relationship evolve and finally reach a climatic stage! I also appreciate the love for the side characters hehe. Given that there’ll be more, how do you think Ichikawa and Yamada's dynamic and relationship will change now that they’re going out? Let your imagination go wild, this is a coming-of-age after all! 2024-12-15 00:01:00 +0000 UTCThese last 2 episodes had quite a lot of changes from the manga, i'll list the main ones that matter imo: -One of my favourite gags that was cut, is when Kanzaki is told off for what he did outside the window, Adachi is just THERE too, and we never know WHAT he did. -Also in the manga Ichikawa went STRAIGHT to the library, the candy emoji helped him figure it out. None of the running around to other spots. -And finally... the biggest change of them all, the whole thing that happened in the bedroom actually happened AFTER he confessed, I'm assuming they changed it around becuase of how it would fit in an episodic format, but yeah, it kinda changes the context of the WHOLE scene lol. Edit: Also Ichikawa knew about the audition ALL ALONG, he just didn't know what it was for etc etc. There is some other stuff too but it doesn't matter a ton. Quite a lot of animals original bits too. Overall they messed with the events of the school trip quite a bit, but not so much that it will ruin the story of season 3 or anything, all major events are the same. If anyone wants to read the manga chapters to compare... Chapter 107-113.
