That mushroom Bjorn ate has a lot of lore behind it in Nordic and Viking culture. It’s a magic mushroom called Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) that allows the user to go into berserker mode. That’s actually what the shroom eaters were called. berserkers. which was like a bear warrior or smth. Another group of shroom eaters, wolfskins (ulfheðnar), would get so psychotic they would be howling, and fight w little to no armor. When you hear about pcp attacks from the 90s-mid 2010s (super human strength, unaware and unimpeded by damage like cops shooting them w no effect, no human rational or dignity- full animal fury) that’s what the wolfskins were like. Back to the mushroom, it’s the famous red cap with white dots 🍄 same one Mario eats before he goes Italian plumber berserker. There’s some tie in w/ reindeer eating and why Santas sleigh can fly lollll. Look that up if interested, but irrc, it’s not what you’d think. On that note, Seasons greetings to all. 🧡🖤🐦⬛&🗡️🍄👑
