I thought the same but there was a reddit post that went into an analysis of the movie and peoples issues and made some great points. Looking back at the movie now, while probably still not the best paced story the ending makes me happy and satisfied

2024-12-17 00:43:27 +0000 UTCI do like how there are untitled episodes, but this episode =isn’t= untitled, it’s explicitly titled as 「 」

2024-12-17 00:41:37 +0000 UTC“I don’t know who Violet’s manager is” Meanwhile Hodgins, who fought with her in the war, brought her in from the hospital, gave her a job, looked after her, manages her, and has been in almost every episode so far, gently cries in the corner.

2024-12-16 09:13:11 +0000 UTC“I feel like mini story, mini story, mini story…” Brother, without spoilers, that’s what Violet is about. Majority of the episodes you hear are told by the people that Violet has written a letter for. It’s NOT about Violet, in a way that most think. It’s the stories TOLD by people who she’ve helped along the way that’s what’s most important

2024-12-16 03:15:23 +0000 UTCI would like to believe it but it's hard to like and let it grow on me after everything in the anime. I really thought that she would grow and learn to move on. It felt like that was what they were trying to push in the ending until the movie came out. That's my thoughts on it though, but I'm sure everyone sees it differently, which is the best thing to discuss with others on here

2024-12-16 01:33:53 +0000 UTCI would have preferred the anime ending without the movie. It had more impact in my opinion.

2024-12-16 01:20:27 +0000 UTCIn today's episode we watch Violet learn about Empathy through a written story, all the while we're expressing empathy/sympathy for characters in this show. As you said, it's a sign of a well written story. I also love the added impact of this episode having no title, just [ ] blank, nothing. How do you interpret that?

2024-12-16 01:03:55 +0000 UTCThe first film is more or less just "more Violet" which I quite enjoy. The second film I can understand the different perspectives. I personally think the tv series has a better ending, but as I've watched the film more and heard other's thoughts on it's grown on me.

2024-12-16 00:27:21 +0000 UTCDo others not like the films? I honestly think they should have left things how they were at the end of the show than what happened. I felt like they made the progress and understanding all for naught. Thoughts?
