I know you guys watched this a while ago and others probably already told you this, but Violet's strength is actually really toned down in the anime to make it more grounded. In the Light Novel, she's literally a superhuman.

I love his work, and regularly listen on Spotify Some additional insight about Violet that is Light Novel only and wont get touched on in the show/movies. She was found on a deserted island by Gilbert's brother, who had docked there with a navy ship for maintenance. Sailors found this 'wild child' and attempted to 'abuse' her, she hunted and killed all of them - which brings us back to the scene at the end of episode 5 "You write letters that bring people together?"
