I do kind of like the lit club situation more because at least everyone involved is aware of how the other people feel now. The other two girls just kind of left it with the guys and the winning girls being totally unaware of their feelings.

2025-07-11 18:39:44 +0000 UTCI have said this before elsewhere, but the subtitles don’t do justice to just how cute Yanami is. When the subtitles say “Apologise to Sosuke”, what Yanami actually says is: “Go and do the ‘I’m Sorry’ to Sosuke!” And later: “Now do the ‘I’m Sorry’ thing to me!” She just keeps speaking in a slightly off, but completely endearing, Japanese throughout the whole series, and this was my favourite example.

The way she busts Nuku-kun's balls and how much she's soo socially aware and mature about stuff that actually matters. She ensured that things don't get awkward post rejection. People including the author ship Anna but the chemistry between Chika and Nuku-kun is spicy imo.

She's what the japanese call "Fujioshi", a female who likes stories about male/male relationships (often called Yaoi or BL).
