semi and shirabu's mini arc regarding the starting position thing had more to it in the manga - basically the coach chose shirabu because he doesn't stand out nor does he wish to, but he's reliable and good. semi is a kageyama/oikawa type of setter where he wants to get through blocks using his own abilities and command the game, shirabu wants the spiker to shine and be more passive, and therefore shirabu fits the current shiratorizawa team better. i wish they had shown it like in the manga, but yeah. also, semi is the second most talented one on the team alongside ushijima according to the player stats, so basically he's kind of like what would've happened had oikawa chosen shiratorizawa and a foil to suga as well in a way. he's actually one of my favorites on this team lmao. also, rip to former coach ukai. what a last line to leave us with fr, and what a delivery too!

2025-02-01 02:02:50 +0000 UTCI think we are well past the "vs. Failing grades" OVA at this point…it's funny but it doesn't really make sense for them to watch it now… And the OVA "Betting on the Spring high volleyball" doesn't really add anything to the story iirc…it's mostly recap with a few fun scenes, but that's pretty much it… That's why I didn't list them, because I feel, that even though they're fun to watch, it's not really necessary…but obviously if they want to watch them, then I'm here for it.

Betting on the Spring High Volleyball - OVA Land vs Air - OVA Path of the Ball then into season 4 :D
