kunimi is actually probably the second best player there besides goshiki (the shiratorizawa 1st year), so hinata staring at him and learning that from him is HUGE, and kogane from date tech starting the episode disliking kunimi but ending it by staring at him with hinata basically means that he understands and respects the way he does things now, which is so wholesome to me lmao. can't wait for next episode!!!

And this episode Washijo's covering his mouth when Hyakuzawa follows Hinata's advice, does a super high set to breathe, and comes back with a monster cross court spike. My theory is he was hiding his smile. I think he's been secretly deep down rooting for Hinata, but wants him to overcome the gauntlet of rejection and resistance he himself faced, growing up.
