Added 2025-05-18 20:46:21 +0000 UTCHonestly guys, thank you for this journey, Haikyuu has become an all time favourite for us both and it feels weird saying goodbye to this show and it's amazing fan base (might be the most positive fanbase we've seen) , REALLY hoping the next movie isn't years away because we NEED IT😭
After we stopped recording we kept realising more and more things we wanted to say, this movie was soooo good! The feels, the action and even the story, trully the greatest dumpster battle of all time🐈🐦⬛

First time I watched it in cinema, I went with a friend which doesn't watch anime and did not know anything about Haikyuu. She ended up crying and being sad because she thought that Nekoma was the main team. She couldn't understand why me and another friend weren't as sad (I mean, we were sad for Nekoma, but very happy for how the movie was and that Karasuno won) :)) So I am totally on board that this was a "Nekoma movie". After all, I think they are the most important to the story, as a rival team:)

2025-05-19 15:26:20 +0000 UTCIn the manga they have a few pages of flashback before the match were we see Nekomata and Ukai Sr. as high school players becoming rivals, but never getting to play in a real match. Even as coaches they would always miss each other, before Ukai Sr. became too old. Cut for time to make the movie flow better, but sad it was left out.

With quicks and even regular attacks to some extent, Kageyama is able to dictate how to battle against the defending team, but with centre open, he chose to put all his trust and believe in Shoyo. It goes to show how far Kageyama has come in terms of being a team player, but more importantly to me, how far Shoyo has come — strong enough of an attacker for Kageyama to hand over the reins and say, “here, you can do this on your own”

2025-05-19 04:53:29 +0000 UTCMy favorite show ever. Love this movie so much, and I HIGHLY suggest reading the manga version, even if only Chapter 298 for the Tsukki-Yamaguchi moment. As good as it was in the movie, that was one of the things that ended up getting very rushed, while in the manga it just makes you weep, one of the most beautiful moments in the whole series for me. It's supposed to be that pair's BIG moment. And seeing Tsukki laugh in sheer delight at the end of that intense rally, I can't say how much I love watching him allow himself to have fun playing volleyball for the first time. Hinata screaming when Kenma finally admits to having fun is probably my favorite moment in the movie. Also, for me, Kuroo is the best captain in the series. When I think to myself, "if all the Haikyuu captains were on a team together, who would be team captain?" my answer isn't Oikawa. Surprisingly, it's not even Kita. For some reason my gut tells me Kuroo (though Kita would be the vice captain that everyone, even Kuroo, is afraid of). Thanks for the ride, friends. I'll see you for the next movie. (P.S Thank you for uploading this on a Sunday. I was in depression city about Monday when I saw the notification. I really needed this.)

Like we know there’s deep love there. 🥹 See you to the next movie! And yes one more season is needed for the manga content! I hope they do it!!
