Even after they move from the clubroom to the student-council office, she expects their bond to hold firm. That’s why she’s furious in the recent episodes: to her, any relationship propped up by lies is worthless. When Hachiman stages the fake confession to keep Hayato’s group in its comfortable “false harmony” and makes sure everything unchanged, Yukino feels he’s betrayed the principle they both shared. The twist is that back in season one Hachiman idealized Yukino for never lying, and now we see Yukino had been idealizing him for the very same reason.
