2025-08-06 03:02:40 +0000 UTCI mean, just like literally every other person in this show, she has some pretty major flaws that they've really hung onto. That said, I do agree with you. But S3 exists to shed light on that. The show does like to villainize characters before showing you their good side. Great Example: Sudo. They portray him as this belligerant asshole at the start of the show. As the show progresses though, we see that he genuinely just struggles to recognize his own flaws, make friends, and convey himself. He actually really wants to help the class out in his own way genuinely.

2025-08-05 14:45:10 +0000 UTCKei is very well portraited as manipulative and egocentric, and is also highly effective at it. She can come up with solutons on the spot and is very good at it. Horikta, while overall a lot more capabale than Kei, does not have this quality at all. She needs planing her moves in advance. Thats how these two fit together so well, even though her moitivation comes from internal trauma, while Koji just has the drive to win at all costs. Through Kei is ultimatly the greatest victim in this "game" that Koji plays.

2025-08-05 13:17:12 +0000 UTCIt's a shame that the internal conflict of Ayanokouji, which is by far the most interesting part of his character for me, gets only a few lines in the anime, and very little focus. The anime actually tries to work against this characterization by changing his lines to sound more rough that they were in the novel. It's like they wanted the anime to appeal to the male fantasy of being this strong, unshakable, emotionless genius, that doesn't have any doubts about himself and his actions, but they also needed to keep some of those "character development" moments in, to stay consistent with the story being told. If you're interested, here's how the rejection scene plays out in the novel: "Thanks for inviting me today. I had fun," I told her. For some reason, Satou still looked anxious. "Hey, Ayanokouji-kun.. you didn't really have fun today, did you?" "No, I did." I was being genuine, but for some reason, Satou didn't believe me "But” "Why would you think that?" I asked. "Well, it's just.. you didn't smile once today, Ayanokouji-kun." "I didn't smile?" Satou kept going. "I would've liked to see you smile at least once, but..." I really didn't have any complaints about how the day went, though. [...] "You're not convinced?" I asked. "Well, it's not that I'm not convinced, but..." Satou trailed off. She turned away briefly, got something out of her bag, and held it behind her. "U-um, hey..." She steeled her gaze, as though gathering all her courage for some mighty task. Apparently, she was about to confirm my fears. "Um...p-please go out with me, Ayanokouji-kun!" It was the first romantic confession I'd ever received. Prolonging this would only hurt Satou more. I chose my words immediately, being as honest as I could out of respect for Satou's courage. "I'm sorry, Satou. I can't be that for you." "Oh! I-I see. I guess it's hopeless, huh?" Satou, clearly fighting not to break down, gave me a small smile. "W-well, for future reference, could you maybe tell me why? Is there someone else you like?" "It's not like that. I'm just not ready for a relationship. It's really me, not you." I told her. "No matter who asked me out right now, my answer would be the same.. whether it was you, Satou, or someone else. This might sound kind of lame, but I've never had feelings for anyone yet. I'm not rejecting you, personally. I just haven't really matured enough to handle romance," I said. "I see." There wasn't anything else I could say. "I might've missed out on my chance," I said quietly. I'd turned down a girl who was honest and brave. Some part of me felt like I was making a mistake. It was the part of me that wanted a fun, normal high school career, including finding a girlfriend. But I didn't say anything. "Thank you for everything today, Ayanokouji-kun. She understood that my reply and feelings wouldn't change. Even if Satou liked me in this moment, she might not feel that way tomorrow. Maybe she'd find a new love. However, I'd never forget that Satou was the first to say she loved me. "Is it. okay if I ask you to hang out again?" she asked. "Of course. I had fun with you, Satou. I'd like to hang out, too." I really meant it. "Yeah." Satou nodded. If my issues with the student council and my father didn't exist, maybe I could've answered Satou differently. If she'd told me her feelings before the relay and my father's visit, I might've accepted. Ironic, since the relay was what made her develop feelings for me.

2025-08-05 08:06:26 +0000 UTCSeason 1 ended with his monologue of "Everyone is nothing but tools," meanwhile Season 2 ended with his monologue of "Will I stop seeing everyone is nothing but tools?" is such Ayanokoji 'developmet' and clever ways of the studio to portray his short journey in anime.

2025-08-04 23:28:05 +0000 UTCAt the end you see ayanakoji and karawizawa standing on diffren colourd squares koji standing on the black square and karawizawa on the white this to me seems like a chess refrance with koji as king and kariwazawa as queen and koji uses the queen (kariwazawa)in different ways to set up his different plans and to protect him the king this also show how mutch power and influence kariwazawa has in the class and as u know the queen is the most op pice and is usually really well protected
