!SPOILER ALERT (In case your watching the show here for the first time 🙂)! Yes she is quite complex. I hope she survives the attack somehow, I want to see more of her. 😊🙏 How she survives and how the attack changes her. But then again, her death would give plenty of motivation to enter the war Jinx started to Jayce (if he survives) and Mels mother...🤔

2023-11-09 07:16:05 +0000 UTCI always wondered when Mel started to fall for Jayce and when it wasn't just about manipulating him anymore. There is one detail that makes me think, she liked him before their talk in episode six. It is the way she looks at him after they had "fun-time". Jayce is asleep and in her eyes there's pure trust and affection. But Mel is (just like any other character in this show) so complex, that I wouldn't dare to have a fixed opinion about her

2023-10-16 21:05:59 +0000 UTCEven though Heimerdinger is looking out for Piltover, there has been a lot of neglect/ignorance/indifference when it comes to the undercity. As the founder of Piltover he isn't 100% to blame but he bears a lot of responsibility, who else has been alive long enough to witness the whole sordid history between Piltover and the undercity and even a war to keep them in there place while being head of the council. I do agree that Jayce's main goal of helping Viktor is a little schetchy, honestly I don't really care for Viktor, but you know he made his choice and very valid points about the negative results of Heimerdinger's leadership.

2023-10-16 17:46:48 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as always, never saw someone so scared by someone opening a door...😂😉 Why did you wonder about Caitlyns naive reaction? This naivety is a big part of her character, for good and for bad. On one side, it sets her up for failure. She grew up very very sheltered, practically living in a golden cage her parents put her in. A world without the cynism or the horrors that the people of the undercity face every day. She is only just making the first steps into the real world and still learning. (Vi for example would have never given up her weapon for someone she practically doesn't know.) Someone being an orphan or someone from the topside being corrupt is unimaginable for her. All the problems she faced so far were literallly first world problems, even as a enforcer. She is determined to prove herself, but had no chance until the attack at the hexgates had happened. On the bright side, this naivety gives her a very straight moral compass and a good heart. She had no chance to check this high moral standards she grew up with and the naive trust in the honesty and sincerity of the people against reality. She has only recently got the first hard reality check by seing her fellow enforcers die infront of her. - The little girl in the flashback, who is looking at young Viktor is indeed Sky, his and Jayce's lab-assistant. It speaks volumes of the quality of storytelling in this show, that even though she has only very little screentime, we learn a lot about her. She has apparently a crush on Viktor since their childhood days in the undercity, but never had the courage to tell him. But she managed to follow him on his long, hard and winding path to the Academy of Piltover - a poor girl from the slums of the undercity. For me she's the unsung hero of this show. Who knows how much it had cost her to ask him to walk home together with her in the last epsiode, only to be turned down by him. He only seems to live for his work. And now that his time is drastically shortened, even more so. Is their any non-tragic love story in this show?? 😨💔 - Speaking of love stories. Until this morning Jayce was Mel's useful toy, her second vote in the council (the old councillor being the third) and her way to more power, wealth and - I assume ;) - great sex. Now he shows his vulnerability to her and to her surprise, she is touched by it. She seems to develop feelings for him as well and opens up to him a bit. Jayce was always attracted to her, right from their first real meeting that night at the academy. - I love that Jinx persistently calls Thieram the barkeeper Chuck. He is extremely nervous around her. Honestly I would be, too. 🤣 - Jinx get's her drink in the same cup she used as a child, from the same kind of bottle we saw Vander pouring her a drink. She get's it with a straw, just like from Vander. She even sits in the same spot. Oh these little moments when Powder shines through. The more I learn about Jinx, the more it breaks my heart. 😨💔 - Sevika is cold. How she pulled out all the stops to make Jinx loose her shit, oh man. She put the thought of Vi replacing her with Caitlyn in Jinx' head. Sevika wants war and a riled up Jinx is a good way to escalate things. - Vi lead them to her early childhood home, the last place with happy memories for the sisters. I wonder what it looked like before this place became the last refuge for the outcasts and homeless. - Vanders words echoing in Vi's mind, when Caitlyn tells her that she has a good heart! I miss him... 🙈 ...but I am so glad that Caitlyn sees the same in Vi as Vander did. - When Vi regaines conciousness, she sees her mother and little Powder looking at her, and her mother calling her name, but with Caitlyns voice. - Oh, and Caitlyn. My romantic heart jumped and cheered at their lingering look after Caitlyn calmed Vi down. And did you see how nervous Caitlyn got afterwards and quickly changed the subject? She noticed it too. 💖 - Caitlyn traded her gun! Her custom-made gun she had since she was old enough to hold a gun (as you could see in the painting in the second episode). It was pretty much an extension of herself and she traded it for medicine for Vi without any hesitation... Naive, yes, but so endaringly trusting🤩💖🙈 - Throwing Heimerdinger out of the council seems a bit much, but what choice did Jayce have? I guess Heimerdinger has seen terrible things that happend because of the (mis)use of magic and that fear lead him to do nothing and suppressing the research of magic, much like Vanders fear for the safety of his adopted children prevented him from fighting against the topside and turned the people to Silco. I am with Jayce on that matter, Heimerdingers inactions widened the rift between Piltover and Zaun. And he threatened to destroy the hexcore. That is nothing but a death sentence for Viktor. Should Jayce stand aside and watch his best friend die, while they have the technology to highly likely prevent that? Heimerdinger also never answers one of the questions Jayce and Viktor ask him. He always deflects and changes the subject. I think even Mel was surprised by Jayce's indeed bold move, but went along with it. She always pushed Jayce towards the leadership of the council, so she can reign through him, but she didn't seem to expect such a rash move. In the end it served her interests and she started to really like Jayce, will say her emotions begin to influence her political decisions. 🤔 - The whole sequence from the water tower to the end of the episode was just brilliant. It was tragic, moving, heartbreaking and so extremely well done. Vi finally worked together with Caitlyn, she saw her trying to bring the water tower down and picked up on it instead of fighting against Silcos shimmer monsters. I got goosebumps when Jinx used the flare she got all those years ago from Vi. Now you know why she has blue smoke clouds tatooed all over her - It was Powders cry for her sister all the time! 😱 - "Are you real?" were the most heartbreaking words I've heard since episode three. 😭💔 - Vi and Powder didn't get the chance to really reunite - when Caitlyn entered the scene Sevikas words took full effect and turned Jinx immediatly against her. Of course it didn't help that Caitlyn indeed is an enforcer, the ultimate enemy from Jinx' point of view. The attack of the firelights then ended all attempts to talk. - The whole time Vi is the only one who really has no idea what that blue stone was and why everbody seems so keen to get their hands on it.

2023-10-16 15:42:57 +0000 UTCit's really sad. jayce said he intends to root out the corruption within the council but now - to save viktor - he threw out literally the only non corrupt councilmember
