A Silent Voice Movie Reaction

This was one of the hardest watches I think we ever experienced, the movie really hits on some subjects we have thoughts on that we decided might be best not to include in the final discussion but our faces should tell how much this movie shook us up. The movie was incredibly beautiful but also left us thinking for a while after wards, truly an unforgettable masterpiece

I just realized Yuzuru is Aoi Yuuki. She is freakin everywhere.

About the scene when she said "i love you" and he spoke about the moon. It's because in Japanese "Tsuki ga kirei" mean the moon is beautiful, but it's a way to say i love you. Since she said "Suki" (love) he understand Tsuki (moon) and that's why he ddn't understand.

We actually googled the manga to find out if they show the sister😂

We're gonna see how the reception is after this movie on YT because we 100% would love to do more movies that really hit us, I want to eat your pancreas is definitely on that list!

The best part is when you understand that's this movie is not about a guy who trying to fell in love with a girl or apologize to her. But about a guy who try to forgive himself and keep moving. Also, you definetly should watch Suizo wo tabetai (I want to eat your pancreas) it's hit almost as hard as this movie.

You guys should totally read the manga if you enjoyed the story! There is so much more context and it just makes the story both a little different and better! Great reaction!

Chat GBT preaching that's crazy but yeah Ueno is definitely one of the most interesting characters in the movie, it makes you mad when she's there because she's definitely in the wrong but it's not as simple as "she's a bad person", there's a deeper struggle there that will be interesting to look into during the edit

I wrote out a novel's worth of text to further elaborate, but I missclicked the video on mobile, which just delete all that I wrote. So instead, I asked ChatGPT to write it for me, and this is pretty much what I wrote minus the feeling in love bits that I still haven't reached in my rematch. Q: Can you explain to me Ueno's POV in A Silent Voice? Why is she mean to Nishimiya? A: In "A Silent Voice," Ueno's point of view and behavior towards Nishimiya are complex and rooted in various emotional and psychological factors. Jealousy and Insecurity: Ueno is shown to have feelings for Ishida, the main male character. She is jealous of Nishimiya because Ishida pays a lot of attention to her. This jealousy is a significant factor in her mean behavior. Misunderstanding and Lack of Empathy: Ueno lacks understanding and empathy towards Nishimiya's deafness. She views Nishimiya's disability as an inconvenience to others, rather than trying to understand the challenges Nishimiya faces. This lack of empathy contributes to her negative behavior. Projection of Frustration: Ueno is frustrated with her own life and insecurities. She projects these feelings onto Nishimiya, using her as a scapegoat for her own issues. This is a common psychological behavior where a person redirects their negative emotions towards someone else. Social Influence and Peer Pressure: In their school environment, bullying Nishimiya becomes a group activity, and Ueno participates partly due to peer pressure and the desire to fit in with her classmates. Personal Growth Struggle: Throughout the story, Ueno struggles with personal growth. She finds it challenging to confront her flaws and make positive changes, which often manifests in her continued mean behavior. Ueno's actions in "A Silent Voice" are not justified, but they are portrayed as part of a complex web of adolescent emotions, misunderstandings, and personal struggles. The story uses her character to explore themes of redemption, empathy, and the consequences of bullying.

Lmao Kurri, "A Silent Peak"... Anyway, I just wanted to comment on Ueno's appearance at 1:10:00, at the first time I saw this I was frustrated as well. Now, watching it a second time, I realised she was putting Sho in Nishimiya's shoes. "I bullied you, but I feel sorry now, wanna be friends?" is basically what both Sho said to Nishimiya and Ueno said to Sho. Why should Nishimiya forgive Sho? And why shouldn't Sho forgive Ueno?
