2023-12-22 02:03:13 +0000 UTCto clear up confusion; the president of the student council is voted for each year and they get to choose who else is on the council, they also get a written recommendation from the school (but only one so there is no need to be president for more than 1 year if you don't want to). the student council then serve a year and stop again at the start of next yaer before the election, when the group talk about "what a year it has been" they mean "what a student council year" remember they have just gotten back from summer break, so no we did not just suddenly skip a year.
