You know I just realized Hayaska's song sounds alot like, but is not, Cruel Angel's Thesis. And there I go showing my age. The ED to me looks like a take on Starship Troopers and I love the blending in with the S2 ED,

2024-02-12 02:05:26 +0000 UTCThe ending is a reference to the Princess Kaguya story that Miyki and Kaguya talk about on the roof top in season 2. How Princess Kaguya was taken off to the moon but left behind an elixir of immortality for the man she loved. In the actual story the man doesn't take the elixir. But Miyuki said if it was his story he would've drank the elixir and taken Kaguya back no matter how long it took. As we see he drinks it at the start of ED as Kaguya's being taken away to the moon in an airship, when he drinks it he's in a time period where planes are made out of wood but he waits for centuries until spaceships and futuristic technology exist which allows him to go to the moon to save Kaguya. It's also a follow up of the first season ED where pilot Miyuki and Angel Kaguya flew around together. It's extra cute because in the season 1 ED it's Kaguya dreaming of Miyuki saving her and in the season 3 ED it's Miyuki dreaming of saving Kaguya. Miyuki waking Kaguya up with a hand on her shoulder and Kaguya waking Miyuki up with a poke on his cheek.
