As Devilโs Advocate, I guess it makes editing for YouTube a lot easier if they skip the opening. Although the opening is really good, though. Maybe they should just watch the opening as a separate Patreon-only video.

When Sakuta got back to his normal world, the other Sakuta left him a message about getting his shit together. The other Sakuta also left another message saying "What do you think of Touko Kirishima?"

2025-08-15 00:51:02 +0000 UTCTo answer your question (with only info you've seen of course): Cara is correct, Touko Kirishima is indeed the name of the viral artist with the music video that hasn't revealed their face to the public (and that we found out Zukki did a cover of last episode). We also know from the opening of the season that Shoko expressed concern about this character because she "didn't exist in any of the futures she saw" (which she is the only character who can actually remember everything from the "bad timeline"). Ya know, I can't believe I forgot how masterfully this series sets up the next arc(s) while telling it's current arc's story. During my re-watch with ya'lls reaction I noticed more of the seeds of the next arc than I did on my first watch! Fun little factoid(s): The first time we ever saw that viral music video was towards the end of the first movie (after the Shoko full-reset) when Mai and Sakuta were listening to it with the same earbuds. The first time it was talked about was in the 2nd movie when Kaede mentioned it was going viral.

Zukki is the best when she's her cheerful, unable to read the room, idols don't wear panties self, so seeing her at the end made me very happy again. And yup, Touko Kirishima is the name of the singer that is really popular and doesn't show up in any of the futures that Shoko saw.
