Anyone who wants a deep dive on the topic should check out the anime "Welcome to the NHK." It's how I first learned about the term, as well as the term "hikikomori," which the show explicitly defines during the story. Hoping they'll react to it one day.

This is so you can start watching “Isekai Quartet.” The isekai crossover anime of all these mentioned anime, including “Shield Hero” and upcoming “Eminence In Shadow” in “Isekai Quartet S3.”
