Yeah people got so wrapped up in that every other scene is shown as we saw it in S1 that they didn't realize that the moment after the kiss we flipped to the perspective of where the friends were, and see that he was also there.

2025-09-05 07:56:12 +0000 UTCKinta associates himself with Okarun because they're both basically socially awkward nerd losers (at the moment when flashback happened). He sees that Okarun got himself a friend and starts to copy everything Okarun does because he also wants friends but he's too insecure to make friends regular way. Like when Okarun was holding his magazine upside-down and got smacked in a face, next scene - Kinta picks his own magazine and starts reading it upside down. He's wandering school just like Okarun, says same phrases, sits on a bench like Okarun does. When kaiju thrown him at Momo he though about "smacking lips" because Okarun smacked lips in a flashback. And about spicy talk - Momo and Okarun keep saying "family jewels" over and over again, poor Kinta tries to copy it even though he doesn't understand what it means. Also about class president - for outsiders Momo and Okarun look like delinquent gyaru and bully magnet so some may assume that Momo bullies him and makes him run errands. So technically it's class prez duty to stand up for bullied kid.
