She was clearly aware of Itsukis plan if shes there at all and therefore had a plan, whether she wanted to intercept and end the interaction before itsuki actually arrived or had a plan for when they all met. Obviously meeting and having the conversation at the stairs wasn't the plan

They just announced an anime-original movie that looks like it might be with the characters as adults? Either way, I'd expect it to be a bit confusing for anime-onlys with how much they are skipping. It's still very nice to see some of these scenes animated though.

2026-01-02 16:47:09 +0000 UTCGive Nino a break. She at least subconciously understands that she's put this off the longest of all the girls so she is going hard to make up for it. That said, you do have to give Futaro a break as well here. The BIGGEST and EASIEST way to tell them apart physically (setting aside the hair, which is only for the viewers) is their hair style and fashion choices. But she's but ass naked (Except a towel) and her hair is going to be down in a bath... so the only real hints were her behavior (which frankly should be the dead giveaway considering she confessed to him...) and her hair length which could easily be mistaken for Miku now due to her cutting it. The biggest hint though is that the first thing she said is "apparently we catch each other's in Bath's often"... which is Nino and only Nino. Also, the biggest clue that the fake Itsuki isn't Nino is the fact that Nino got upset she wasn't recognized. She wouldn't weaponize her identical appearance and then be upset that he didn't recognize her with no clothes right afterwards, right? That said, big reveal for Itsuki here that she now knows Nino is uh... thirsty. That brings us to these confirmed dynamics: Miku/Ichika know that each other are both interested in Futaro romantically. Itsuki now knows that Nino is probably interested in Futaro romantically. Futaro now knows that Nino at least SAID she is interested in Futaro romantically. Miku, Ichika, and Nino understand that they feel romantically interested in Futaro. Unconfirmed for Yotsuba/Itsuki (though obviously has been heavily implied via blushing / show direction)

On top of that, Futaro has said a few times how bad he is at putting faces to names and its basically impossible for him to remember little details. Bro probably doesnt even realize Nino cut her hair lmao Also, someone get their girl Nino a glass of water. She's waaaay too thirsty this early on lol Trying to seduce this poor man in the bath smh.

When I watched, there was nothing else after season one; so I read the rest of the manga. What a treat for me to see it in anime form for the first time with some of my favorite reactors!

That plus how dense to this "with love you can tell the difference" thing he is, that was the most realistic reaction 😂
