2022-01-05 15:09:10 +0000 UTCAdding to your comment - I used to teach very young children for years, and I’m like you, not fazed by much anymore! It ‘s all part of being with children, and is a lot to do with the relationship you have with them too.

I think a ramble topic on it would be great to be honest, as you always have such an interesting perspective on the deeper topics. You’re right, the development of emotional intelligence/vulnerability is easier if it is modeled to us when we are children, as we see this as the norm. And then we grow up with a more concrete understanding of who we are and our value, and a compassionate understanding towards others. There are some child rearing philosophies that are grounded in this idea, which I think is great. Here’s to cycle breakers!

2022-01-04 15:27:51 +0000 UTCI love the GTKK episodes. It's like getting a letter from a friend. Very cozy. 💛 I do wish you wouldn't push yourself so hard. I know you're hoping to get back on track, but your body is telling you to sloooow down and recuperate. The holidays are such a good time for traditional food and nostalgic food- for us, it's Norwegian krumkake and Italian pizzelle- both delicious. On the audio front- I like being able to savor each new one, rather than try to listen all at once and inhale them so I don't feel like I'm out of the loop. I like the rhythm of the releases now- though it was sweet, how it seemed that you were so excited to release audios as soon as they were off the editing dock. I often wonder about where I would go on honeymoon, but then again, I often think it would depend on who I'm experiencing that with. It would've been different in each relationship I've been in. That's the beauty of it, though- the people you love will change you (to quote Moana). Anyway. Thank you for a lovely audio and please rest up a bit. 💛

I’ve been especially loving the pregnancy series and how clever of you to have the labor one in month 9! You’ve really brought an authenticity and attention to detail that usually only those who have children would know. I’m also a labor & delivery/NICU RN giving you 👍🏼👍🏼! Happy New Year, Knight! I left my comment on your other post before listening to this one. 😅 Please get plenty of rest and don't push yourself. 🥰 Rum cake = 😍😍😍 My grandma always makes it for Christmas. I haven't seen it in the north as much, so I feel like it might be a southern thing? When all of the sugar and rum soak into the bottom and the bottom is all gooey = 😋😋💯💯 When I was a kid I wanted to be Sailor Moon, the Olsen twins and a UN Field Worker all at once. Spoiler alert, I am none of those things now. 😂😂 After working in a preschool and nannying for a couple of years, I don't think there is any bodily fluid that bothers me anymore. I've had all of them on my person at some point or another. 😅 If I were ever to have a honeymoon, maybe like a bed and breakfast on a farm full of baby goats? Idk, baby animals should be involved in some way. Ooooh, the sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica! That would be amazing!

Speaking of Japan, i have a recommended place for you. There's a beautiful city in Hokkaido island called Asahikawa, it's a good place for skiing and snowboarding in winter, the nature is so gorgeous, pretty good for honeymoon too! *update: i forgot to mention "fujiyoshida" it's basically a city near mt fuji. my grandma used to live in that area. it's a small city but it's beautiful, if you and your partner are an adventurous couple, this is a great place to be. But if you don't want to get out from the comfort zone, Kyoto or Tokyo is a great place for you. I remember when i was a kid, i really wanted to be an astronaut so bad because i wanted to see pluto LMFAO But look at me now, ended up working in fashion media for some reason (which dont get me wrong, i'm pretty happy with my career path right now) My resolution for 2022 is just to be happy. I forgot what it's like to be happy at this age lol i really hope i can be happier this year. You lucky your mom wanted you to find yourself, my mom expected me to be "someone i dont like" when i was a kid because of social pressure. It was a hell of a journey but i'm glad that phase is over. GET WELL SOON K! And like drea said, please take it EASY!

KINDA HOARSE?? - My niece has flung poop at her mother AND giggled when I stuck my finger in her dirty diaper and got a nice thumb full. Kids man - I did a cabin in the Smokys for a family trip in Tennessee and I DIDNT WANNA LEAVE - my favorite holiday food is mamas cooking. Nothing beats mamas foods - i bounced back and forth between med field and teaching as a kiddo. Never anything extraordinary. Did teaching, not my thing. In the med field now. I love it and am seriously considering getting more schooling when I move to further my career - holy shit the days of many presents......6-7 audios at once. As much as that was fun and khaotic, I like this more spread out business. Easier to consume and I'm sure easier for you to manage. - those are really hard skills to learn imo. I have found what I'm personally battling inside is part of a generational cycle. I've seen what my mom and her mom went through. I got to a point where I just refused to live that way and pass it on to my own children. It's hard, and like you said being vulnerable with yourself is rough. It's hard trying to separate your inner parent to help soothe your inner child. The effects are very rewarding. But it's hard work. Hope you feel better soon! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HECK TAKE IT EASY. Let's not start 2022 with you sick 99% of the time again.

So definitely wouldn’t mind reading that book you mentioned working on •anyways sorry for this being long but i enjoyed today’s GTKK for many reasons, have a good day🤍
