Not going to lie I thought Aqualad was a dull character before, but this second season really made him more entertaining to watch and gave him a better story than just being the leader.

Okay, this isn't spoilers because it's all my conjecture. But with regards to Wally getting out of the game.
Remember what happened in the simulation, where Artemis died, and he lost it. They weren't even together then. Now imagine you have gone through the death of your significant other, and know that your jobs put them in danger every day, you're going to want to quit to keep her safe. That's why I imagine they left, then when Nightwing asked Artemis to pull this job, Wally is not going to like it, because it's exposing her to danger, and exposing her to danger when he isn't around to protect her.
But again, that's just my thoughts, it's not at all canon.

Ocean-master aka Prince Orm, is Aquaman's brother and has a completely different outfit and mask than Manta. You may be confused because Black Manta WAS in season one as an agent of Ocean-master and was the one that attacked Atlantis while Oceanmaster/PrinceOrm was still playing the double agent game from the inside of Atlantis, pretending to protect the queen... technically in the series, as far as the viewers know, Aquaman has not found out about Prince Orm's betrayal and for all we know he could still be in Atlantis "undercover", unless the game addressed that.

Wally not being fan right now is just because of the plan to use Artimus.

Ocean Master is Prince Orm. We only saw him in his Ocean Master get up once during season 1, and only in passing. He did more as Aquaman's brother than he did as a villain, convincing Aquaman that the starfish remains should be sent to the surface so that they could be stolen by The Riddler later. Black Manta WAS the one who blew up the star fish to begin with though.

To address the Wally/Artemis issue of being "out". They were both "out of the game" because they were both going to college and trying to be 'normal citizens' for some time. Nobody was sure if they were 'giving up' completely, or simply 'taking some time off for college'. It is a given that while they are trying to go through college that they were not 'active' members, but there is no indication of being 'ex-members'. And the whole Superboy/Ms. Martian thing. If there is ANYONE who would be anti-psychic powers, it would be Superboy because of how he was 'made/controlled' by Cademus through psychic powers.

Season 1 "Failsafe"... Season 2 "Depths"...... The two episodes that completely blow your mind, and yet ties everything together as far as mindsets and reasons for everything that follows.

There was a Young Justice video game that's story takes place between seasons 1 and 2 that explains what happened to Tula (Aquagirl) and Aqualad's reaction to the incident.
