Light literally says "It's clear he no longer suspects me" after they get off the bus...he still killed him.

Also, hell no, I would not stay on the force. For all they know he is already able to kill them and is just waiting for them to say they won't back down.

I always felt that lights character is the perfect example of 'absolute power corrupts absolutely'.

Light killed them for the same reason that he killed Lind L. Taylor.
They defied him.

I mean.... yeah, enjoy the chess match, but I'm a little dismayed that people think there are sides to take. Light is very clearly the villain of the story.

Anyone else want a two a week poll?

People have hunches that don’t always have a logical progression all the time. It is not as odd as people think and happens more often than not. Once her future husband died too she chose to follow that bunch, which looks way more suspicious now considering the only odd thing to happen following his death was that bus incident.

Talking about sidimg with L now. Don't take sides at all. Just sit back and enjoy the chess match.

Basically, Light sees himself as a god and will kill anyone who opposes his ideas of "justice." The overall message of the show is that nothing is just. There is no true good or true evil.

Light's point of view: The police and FBI are attempting to stop him, Kira. He doesn't know that Ray Penbar wasn't onto him. From his point of view, they are following him to gather evidence so they can make an arrest, and they are suspicious of him. Thus, they are, to him, trying to prevent justice and rebelling against the "god" that is Kira. Thus, to him, they aren't just necessary sacrifices, they are deserving of death. That's why he wasn't remorseful...also people speculate that Light is a sociopath and cannot truly feel emotions like remorse. Keep this in mind as you watch, Light is crazy, he thinks of himself as a god, and he won't think about things the way a normal person would.

Light wouldn’t have that mindset of it wasn’t me who did it. He’s far too immersed in his new world, his intelligence, and his ego is enormous which is what L used to provoke him in Episode 2 by calling him evil. Light definitely would consider the Agents deaths as his own doing and a victory over them and L. You also have to understand Light views this whole thing as an elaborate game with intensely high stakes.

He kinda has no choice in the matter of killing the fbi it’s either kill them or get eventually caught

I think the reasoning would be that because firearms aren't readily available in Japan that crimes involving them are incredibly rare. So it would be suspicious.

naturally if they try to stop him from doing "good" then they are "evil" that```s his point of view
2017-11-07 16:40:39 +0000 UTC
Kira goes after anyone who prevents him from exacting judgment. With his twisted sense of justice, Kira considers them "Evil".

Also I can’t wait for them to get to “KK” (NO SPOILERS) it’s later in the series. I can’t wait for them to discuss that and the controversy with that

Anyone else, who has finished the series, and without spoilers, think they should start keeping track of everything that L does unlawfully. They are getting to the point where they can start to watch for that and it’s not spoilers because he has already done something illegal. Putting that criminal for a public execution in place of himself.

I don't really think her thinking the bus jacking was weird was too much of a stretch. Also having her her husband to be die a week later from Kira further proves her theory. Just my opinion.
