Well in the aerial transition shot you can see Jack running, also keep in mind what they said at the end about potential Spoilers

That line about tidying up makes it seem like the TARDIS landed inside the base rather than outside... did the writers not know how he'd be used next episode?

I recall that back when the first series of Torchwood was first transmitted, the fact that Jack had the Doctor's hand was quite heavily trailed in the pre-publicity. The Radio Times had a photo of Jack's office with captions pointing out the various things in there, including (this isn't a spoiler as it never came to anything in the show itself) a lump of coral he was supposedly growing into a TARDIS.

Ha - this means the guys have an hour where they can do whatever the hell they like for two weeks. Enjoy your free time - you have a gruelling schedule, albeit of doing super fun things.

I always assumed that, if the light coming out of Jack exploded Abadon, and that if it was "life force", it just shimmied back into whomever it came from... Too much thinky make Leah sleepy.

While this isn't a favorite episode of mine, I've been REALLY looking forward to the reaction. :D And that was pretty amazing. It's just an episode with so many twists and turns for everyone to react to. Especially the Rhys death is one I looked forward to. I'm glad you all felt sorry for the poor guy. He's been going through a lot.
Also the amount of WTF faces when Abaddon appeared was also fantastic. But my favorite reaction of the episode was definitely to the very last part, both with the "The right kind of doctor" line (I love that one so much) and the TARDIS sounds, and the questions that left everyone with. ;)
Also yeah, the comments about the hand has been all over the place, which is ridiculous. It just makes no sense to me - a tv show is about discovering things as it goes on, and it wasn't like you missed any details about it up until this point. Idk. I'm glad most of you managed to get through it unspoiled, because that realization was GREAT. (It was so long ago I watched this for the first time, I honestly do not remember when I figured it out.)
The Torchwood reactions are some of my favorites, so this s1 has been a blast. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the show so much, despite (or perhaps because!) of its weird twists and turns. But I'm also looking forward to what comes next, both in Torchwood and Doctor Who. And more Torchwood in two weeks! Looking forward to it.

The crew talking about all the people who died in the shadow of the Demon and the events of the next few Doctor Who episodes makes me think of the continuity problems in these episodes had. Where Jack encounters the Tardis as opposed to what happened in this episode always bugged me. I guess we have to assume that no one died in the demon's shadow since it was never talked about in The Sound of the Drums episode of Doctor Who.

As long as the crew themselves watch in the right order i see no reason why the release schedule should change. But i guess an excuse would be the reactions would be out of order, as if anyone would give a shit.

I and everyone I know who watched it figured out it was the doctor's hand when I first watched it. And i was 12 at the time.

It doesn't actually, unless they watch another classic Who episode or something after or before the Christmas special. They need be through Torchwood Season 2 before Episode 12 of Doctor Who Season 4, and then through Torchwood: Children of the Earth before The End of Time special.

I agree with above comments about a double Doctor Who week. Utopia Wednesday, Sound of Drums Thursday, Last of the Time Lords the next Wednesday, then back to the regularly scheduled Torchwood the Thursday after- it works perfectly!

BTW This just a SPOILER Alert for S2 of Torchwood and DW S4....so don't read further...just a general warning. I wonder how they are going to work out the viewing order....cause Martha shows up cause her appearances in both shows will happen simultaneously...for 3 weeks straight. So they are going to be bouncing between DW and TW with her. Her Torchwood arc comes first though as she hasn't heard from the Doctor since the end of S3

Why say that when the'll literally find out in the next ep?

Just finished the video and Aaron said Lono is trying to keep them synced up and there may not be a Torchwood next week, so it's possible Lono is going to properly keep them lined up

Yeah you can’t start Torchwood S2 next week! You can’t start it until you’ve finished S3 of DW. Everything is perfectly synced now!

Okay guys, serious time. Double Doctor who next week! It's just you can't start Torchwood S2 without finishing DWS3, you just can't. Ah go on, go on, go on, go on. Go on! Go on! Then scheduling would go back to normal next week.
2018-01-05 00:31:23 +0000 UTC
Someone suggested last week that they shouldn't start Torchwood season 2 until after they finish Last of the Time Lords in Doctor Who, so I'm curious what they'll do
