Please also put the title of the episode in the opening. Some sites, Netflix, don't go by traditional seasons. It'll help with other watches as well!

Same. Out of all of them, he was the only one I was expecting to get upset by it, but yeah it wasn't as bad as I originally thought it was gonna be.

I have to admit I thought Shane would be more upset at Mustang not getting to kill Envy. It is always fun to see him get upset at heroes for not killing the enemy or brutally killing them. Good discussion guys.

It's pretty ridiculous that I only realized this year Armstrong is piccolo I can't not hear it now and the things that bothered me the most about mustang he literally did look like a monster at times but also the way he threatened Edward to get what he wanted was not ok and clearly a sign he'd gone too far

Aaron demoted Brigadier General Hughes!
And I love it was Eric uses Star Wars to explain similar concepts in other shows. So good.

the biggest thing that I think that everyone took issue with vis a vis mustang giving into revenge is more how much the colonel ultimately cares. when something he cares about is taken from him he flies off the handle, as we can clearly see, and if he does end up becoming fuhrer that can't be a pattern he falls into. I could easily see him taking any big enough infraction against amestris as something that needs to be avenged

The irony with lust isn't that she was killed by a womanizer bc Mustang's womanizing persona is a facade he puts on to seem like less of a threat to the higher ups, to mask his ambition, all those dates he goes on arent dates theyre meetings with his adoptive sisters and we know that those phone calls to woman he does when Hawkeye isn't there are actually him communicating with Hawkeye secretly, the irony with Mustang killing lust is that Mustang is a man who wears the mask of a womanizer but is actually a man who loves

Rewatching the reaction and man I love watching Eric react to things. Gets so into it. All the little extra things in his expressions and nods.

Yeah, 10 amazing episodes, with the best fight still to come. Several in fact. I'm so hyped watching these reactions every week.

oh same here bro. when mustang says “I did it, I finally ran him down.”, you can just hear the hurt in his voice 😭. but envy is a whole other thing too. just shows how we can empathize, even knowing what he is and what he’s done. crazy

Envy's death is one few moments in tv or movies where I've gotten so emotional that I've actually cried. I still don't know whether it was the ost in the background or just how pitiful he was in that scene.

They did an excellent job in showing Mustang's blind rage, he threatened to burn Edward's hand just to get Envy(granted it would have been his metal arm, but still!). I would not except a leader who would threaten his own allies just to get want he wants.

Interesting to note your comparison to star wars- the manga writer, Hiromu Arakawa, is actually a huge Star Wars fan, so the thematic parallels of anger, hate, and revenge as corrupting influences, are likely intentional.

Its a running theme that all the humonculi have very fitting/ironic deaths. Lust was killed by a womanizer, gluttony was eaten, envy killed himself out of jealosy that he would never have some of the great humanizing traits. keep an eye out for any other ways :)

If I wasn't at work right now I'd be crying after watching this episode for what seems like the 20th time. All my feels..
