2018-03-15 06:30:08 +0000 UTCYes, the eyes do work from images alone. There's a sequence in the manga where they go into the specifics of it. I forget the details, but I'm pretty sure it was at least half of the face, and both eyes must be completely visible. So sunglasses would work to prevent it, as would a ski mask where the eyes are visible but nothing else is, but a bandana over the nost and mouth would NOT protect you from the eye power. Something like that.
