Torchwood: Miracle Day 4x1 Reaction Early Access!

I figured if anybody could find any good in this nonsense it would be the guys who appreciate the prequels. I myself only saw it once and found it entertaining but in a very shallow way.

Yeah I had stopped watching Torchwood by this point. This doesn't feel like Torchwood at all, more an American remake. I mean, they even made Rhys get ripped. Nah, not for me, this season.

I'm really unsure the peodophile argument would work. HE didn't die. His sentence was that he should die. HE didn't fufill it. It would be a different ting if he died and came back but I truly cannot buy this as a loophole.

This Miracle Day is a fascinating thing. Usually people always want any show and complain there's not enough reactor. Last week was the first time I actually saw a common feeling of leaving a series alone.

I don’t think the BBC cancelled it, they just wanted more money for it (it was a co-production). But I don’t think RTD’s heart was in it anymore.

Obviously there's a fairly large chunk of discussion here which wouldn't have been necessary if you'd kept watching in tandem with Doctor Who, but I can understand the desire to go straight into it.

They pay less attention to the continuity within the doctor who universe in this season, mainly due to the fact this was made after Russell T Davies (Torchwood and former DW Showrunner) handed over control of Doctor Who, so it feels less like it fits into the wider universe. That said, given events you will get to in the Doctor Who series 5 finale, this lack of continuity can be reasoned with and explained away fairly easily

I have such mixed feelings about this series I liked a lot of it but it also kind of felt like it was something else wearing a torchwood costume.
