The producer's have confirmed that Maeve was acting on her own free-will when she left the train to go after her daughter. When the robots are acting based on programming, they're followed by steadicam. When they're acting on their own free will it switches to handheld camera

Meave wasn't a distraction. The point was to make her escape and dangle her daughter in front of her to see if she will break programming. she did and became sentient, which is what Ford wanted her to achieve.

That photo you are discussing was of Ford, Arnold and the robot made to look like Ford's father. It wasn't William.

The town was buried (by Ford I'm guessing) after Critical Failure. So that's why William and Dolores found it buried. In present day, at the end of Episode 2, Ford takes Bernard to the buried steeple and says its part of his new narrative. Afterwards he must have had it dug up (using the super-landscaping machines we saw in Ep 4) and restored for the finale.

Bernard's full name is Bernard Lowe which is anagram of Arnold Weber (Arnold's full name)

The picture does not include William/Man in Black. Timeline is Old town, illing of arnold, the town is covered up , william comes to WW and then eventually buys it

Missed the after credits, but that's ok, it' not super important. I just like Armistice a lot. Also, the 3 people in the photo were Ford, his father and Arnold, not William. Super excited for season 2.

I think Maeve was meant to leave. If you look at her programming when Bernard was telling her what she was programmed to do, the bottom line says mainland infiltration. Arnold planned for her to get out and make it to the mainland.
