The Walking Dead 7x11 Poll!

Do you think at this moment Eugene is commited to becoming a Savior or is he wanting to place himself in a position to help the Resistance.

Comments

The perks and privileges and security may hold a lot of appeal for him and he might enjoy parts of the performance, but I definitely believe it is a performance. He's keeping himself alive and he's playing the part the best he can. If or when the opportunity arises to avenge Abraham, he'll take it.

ScarlettMi

He still has to be loyal, after everything he's been through how couldn't he be. The slight smile and acknowledgement of him playing the long con is enough for me to think he is waiting for an opportunity to turn against Negan

Thedeadman97

I think he's overly confident that he's going to fool the Saviors but you never know, they could find out he's lying about the "CDC 12 man team" bullcrap thing if they do thorough questioning, or when he fails a test they give him

Subrath Sharma

He is playing the teachers favourite pet and hiding behind his perfect cover of being a coward. However is is not a true coward any more, he lost that the second he admitted to making the bullet. He is loyal to Abraham and are heroes.

Valauthiel

I think he had a real connection to Abraham and he will never forgive Neagan for killing him. He gave himself up so that Neagan wouldn't hurt those in Alexandria. If anyone can play the long game it's Eugene.

It seems to me he is pretty commited because he feels of more use to the Saviors than he ever was with Alexandria.

He's an admitted coward but I think he is loyal to Rick's group. He will do what he has to in order to survive but at the first opportunity he will turn on Neagan.

I was gifted these pickles.

Lisa Marie

I think Eugene is going to do whatever is best for Eugene.

Cheyenne Hacker

Everyone is forgetting that Negan killed Abraham. Abraham and Eugene were bros. I don't think Eugene has forgotten that. He is going to bide his time and give himself the most comfortable life he can, he is still a scaredy cat. But ultimately I think he still wants Negan dead....so does Dwight.

Jon Dub

Well wouldn't he had rat out about Maggie being alive to Negan? Unless he didn't know about that whole ruse.

No better way to be in a position to hurt Negan than to gain his trust and wait for the right opportunity to betray him.

Jorge Lopez

I would personally love to see more of Ricks Alliance turning to The Saviours. It would put a new twist on things. Or maybe a group called The New Saviours vs the remaining members of Ricks Alliance after some big fight of beliefs or something.

He wouldn't be on the same side as someone who killed Abe, that death really hit him hard so I'm assuming he's waiting for his moment to get revenge

I'm leaning more to the side that Eugene is going to be a savior. I think he was loyal, and terrified of negan so he did what they said. But now maybe he sees he has more power, food, nicer home that he will stay as a savior

I think Eugene is playing the game. He's already lied to Negan about who he he actually is and now pretty much has the run of the place. When he finally finds out about the resistance, he could sabotage the shit out of that compound and no one would know. Also liking the idea of Dwight and Eugene becoming acquainted again and teaming up.

It was cool to see Eugene grow some balls this episode. I am hoping he is going to play a vital role in Negan's downfall as the inside man I guess you could call him. Thats why I think he is sucking up to Negan, get in his good books so he can go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants.

Katie Stubbs

I think at the moment he is doing it purely to survive. Coz remember, he doesn't know about the building resistance, he was taken before that. I do believe tho, that when the chance arises, he will help Rick and the group, but at this moment, he's just trying to survive. Plus Negan killed Abraham, who was pretty much his best friend, so I can see him playing the long con to ultimately get some kind of revenge

Either way I'm happy

I think Eugene could go either way, depending on the outlook of the war to come. Eugene is a loyal guy, but he is also a pragmatic survivor who's. He was lying his ass off when abe was escorting him to DC and he only confessed to defuse a situation between him and Glenn. Eugene will lie in the cut of being a Savior for as long as it keeps him alive. If an opportunity comes for him to strike at the saviors from within with little risk to his own life, I think he will take it, but if that doesn't come he will take the past of least resistance and go, full savior if that's what keeps him alive. So I think his alignment is still in flux just like his analogy to D&D He's not Lawful neutral or Chaotic good. Eugene is a chameleon and that's why I love him so much.

Toast Knight

Eugene is a coward but there is no way he'll be loyal to Negan, Eugene is a man with a plan and I think he'll try and sabotage the saviors from the inside. I also think that Eugene could be a positive influence on Dwight, as long as he doesn't bite him in the dick again that is.

There should be some more options :P. Those are both very extreme. I feel like he could potentially be having some doubts, but ultimately he will stay loyal to our Heroes and be a sort of inside man for the time being. He may try and work with Dwight referring to that last scene, in order to try and "Rise Up" with some of those Saviors who feel mistreated.

Jack's World

I think Eugene will survive the longest out of everyone because he knows how to survive. He makes decisions based on how they will benefit himself.
