Anyway yes this Vol. was essentially like Vol. 1, because Vol. 1-3 was the Beacon Arc or Part 1 of the RWBY story as told by RoosterTeeth, so this is just "hey here's what everyone is up to, and we're gunna introduce some new shit while keeping shit awesome."

2017-04-25 21:53:55 +0000 UTCNo spoilers, just a theory. The Grimm came before humanity (fact). My own personal theory is that after the brother gods created humanity, things were good for a time. Eventually though, they fell to fighting again, and things escalated. The resulting conflict shattered the moon and scattered the remains of the brothers across Remnant. Dust is what's left of the god of light, and the Grimm pools is the remnant of his brother. Ozpin and (maybe) Salem are both body-jumpers. Could they be leftover avatars of the gods? Might be a while before we find out though.
