I think the spell just gave inanimate objects a second data point in terms of location, so that they existed simultaneously in two realities. When the spell ended, one set of data points just ended. There might have been some grisly recombination when that happened, or it might have been handled by Zatara's spell.

2017-05-13 18:49:33 +0000 UTCCalvin gave me an idea I like--Firestorm hasn't shown up in the show so far, and he is a kid fused with an adult, so it would be cool if this episode was his origin story. Like, he shows up later, and we flash back to this episode and see how the two parts of Firestorm were standing in the same place when the worlds merged and got fused. The thing I wonder about: What happened to babies born during the division? Did they disappear from the adult world as soon as the umbilical cord was cut?
