Actually the whole season 1 is Joy having to bend backwards to fit Ward's impulse. She went against Danny for him, supported him when he was making shitty decision for the company against her advice and help him keep face when he started drugs. Also Ward almost got her killed with Bakudo. And he did try to escape without her. Of course since Ward is a fan favorite he was reverse engineered to not have been an asshole all his life but everything from season from season 1 tells us he was about himself first with Joy always having to adapt because she wanted to support her brother. Wether i was as kid, at the company or in their personal interaction. He was the chief and the one who decides and she had to be the one to bury herself and be reasonable. Even this season he tried to leave her penniless as soon she didn't want to work with him and then when asked to be nice he tried to leverage Joy to partner with him because he refuse to let Joy have a life where he's not in it. Even when being "kind" he can't let her have her space. All she wants is to get some space and have her own life and get out of that relation where she constantly has to ignore herself to fits Ward needs because he can't accept to not get his way. I understand why people hate the Dany conflict but I think the affection for the character(and Maybe the Danny side) blinds people to the valid reasons of the conflict with Ward(which is just "I want to have my own life so stop trying to force yourself into it").

The only real chance with that would be if Disney's streaming service picked it up, and given that they're gonna do two series featuring Marvel Movie characters it'd be an odd fit. 2 popular movie characters and (sadly) the least popular Netflix character. It's a massive shame.

RIP Iron Fist on Netflix. :( Hopefully another network picks it up. Though if they do will that be the end of Iron Fist/Luke Cage crossovers?
