Supergirl 4x16 Poll!

What do you think of this iteration of Lex Luthor?

Comments

I loved him, my favorite live-action Lex Luthor ever. I loved Gene Hackman but he felt a little cartoonish. This feels like classic Lex.

Nathan Mortenson

Love it... I believe that Lex is big bad for season 4.. Lex has been involved in everything that been happening this season just pulling the strings..

Never thought I would be afraid of Alan

ChiefChill

I wasn't sure about him in the beginning of last week's episode, but he quickly won me over in terms of performance. It's just his face is what threw me off. But by the end of last episode, and especially after this one, it doesn't even matter. His performance made his whole physical appearance fit it perfectly somehow.

Ian Vega

When they announced John Cryer, I was thoroughly underwhelmed. But he's now up there with Michael Rosenbaum as one of my favorite versions. He nails the ego and God-complex that Lex is supposed to have.

Darth Skhorrn

Hands down my #1 favorite live-action Lex

Kali Mbata

I hated the casting choice when I first read about Cryer joining the show, but in just two episodes I’ve come to accept him as an Earth-38 version of Lex Luther. Not the Lex we know, but one we can enjoy.

Keyboard Junkie

I just neeeeed him to lose the beard. He looks a bit too much like Paul Blackthorn and Rene put together and that bothers me

Harman Singh

I like him a lot. He’s right up there with Rosenbaum for me. Obviously we got tons more character development from Rosenbaum. But this is a great starting point, I’m sad that DC is only allowing his use for three episodes but I’ll take what I can get.

Andrew Courtney

Lex Luthor is probably one of my favorite villains in the DC-universe and this is a great performance. I hope they don't write him off after this season and keep him around for other seasons/crossovers?

Flashback007

I enjoyed his performance but I'm so use to him being Alan, that I feel that this episode was a plot from Two & a Half Men where Alan is trying to kill Charlie.

Joel

He really seems to be selling the manipulative 3 steps ahead type of villain Lex is.

Gavin Hardiman

I am really enjoying this portrayal of Lex, he seems to be hitting all the right spots, mad scientist with great businessman. the scenes with Rkara were great.

Love Jon as Lex! I get the criticism or doubt before but he really sold it well! The situation is similar to Bryan Cranstons. First Malcolm in the middle for years as a over the top dad before crushing everybodys expectations in breaking bad in a serious role. (i do not compare those tv shows but the situation)

Just waiting for his brother Charlie and son Jake to come out of the back room

Daniel Aka Jardo

Solid portrayal. Hope he has more of a presence in the arrowverse, especially with a couple big events happening in the next few years

Blackest Hippy

I like how he plays an experienced Lex. One that's fought with Clark, I mean Superman for years. That's something we haven't seen in live action for a while.

MacRambo

I like him more than movies lex but not as much as smallville lex

Matthew

He has been a great Lex. The actor has combined a lot of me aspects of the Lex’s character, the arrogance, brains, ruthlessness, pettiness, and the jealousy. They really did combine the mad scientist and evil business man aspects pretty damn well too. I never would have thought Alan would be one of my favorite Lexes, right up there Superman Animated Series/Justice League Unlimited and Lex of Smallville.

Jjop017

I am surprised how much i like him. Specially when he yells miss Tessmacher really reminds of the old movies i would love to get a 1 on 1 scene between him and Lockwood that would be awesome to watch.

Dip602

He isn't my favorite version of Lex, but he definitely has impressed me with his portrayal of the character

Tucker Lobner

I don’t like the facial hair, but I like his performance mostly.

LKG

I like that he can be theathrical and seems to be having fun but at the same time he explodes and get angry whenever people doubt him.

Doby Greg

Other than the fact that in my head I kind of have him permanently casted as Alan from Two and a Half Men, I think his performance is quite grand.

I think Jon Cryer is phenomenal and is one of the best to ever be in the role he’s the Lex I wish we could’ve had in the DCEU

Christian Bolda

I've been very pleasantly surprised. When they announced his casting I was like oh man this is going to be awful. But I was very wrong. He's been fantastic and I love that it continues the Arrowverse's legacy casting. I never watched Smallville so he might be my favorite live action interpretation of Lex if he continues to be this good.

He was a better one than the justice league movie

Brandon

Up there with clancy brown and Michael rosenbaum
