Because a program as a set of rules it has to follow and while light in real life does to, sometimes it behaves differently than we think. I mean, you should know how light works in certain situations in real life in order to program lighting engines correctly

2019-04-11 15:09:11 +0000 UTCHe was saying that the animators had to have been inspired by the actual behavior of flashlights inside a dark tunnel in order to recreate it in such an excellent way.. Most animators actually take inspiration by going outside and playing around with lights and stuff
