What weird is that they swapped out BB's voice actor in season 2 for the teen Titans characters

Guys the picture at the end that went along with the credits was Lobo's rotting finger.

I think it's because, if a character just suddenly gains a new power that doesn't follow any particular theme (ie, healing and self-resurrection follow a theme, but healing and holograms do not) it can feel like a writing ass-pull. If the same character keeps doing it, it can diminish the tension when that character is involved in a conflict ("Oh no, they're facing 20 evil clones of Superman...but I'm sure Halo will just manifest the ability to emit kryptonite or something like that).
I don't think it's bad writing in this case (these writers have sure as hell earned my trust), but bad writers do sometimes use similar tropes, and that can make some people wary when they see those tropes popping up on an otherwise great show.

Aaron with two A's frustration with Fred Bugg with two G's is hilarious.

it's all because the episodes were released in a bunch every week and the 3-ep package made sense , but BW react to one episode at a time. It affects the analysis actually cz ideally you gotta analyse the 3 part piece all together.

Eric often mention how he likes powers with limits. Halo is the opposite of that. I don't find it surprising he isn't a big fan.

Halo is anything BUT an OP character though...

The show does a great job at seeding characters in my opinion. Characters that have little importance, or minor roles, have a good chance of becoming future characters. Arrowette made a brief appearance as a kid in season 1, and now we have her as an actual hero

I thought the same thing for the longest time.

Eric said he doesn’t really like it now, because it reminds him of bad fan fiction original characters that seemingly made OP, but also acknowledged it is meant to be a mystery that will be explained and is open to the story idea. It is not like he just hates the character yet like Azula from Avatar, which was so strong it extended to her friends and called everything they did either bs or Op until they switched sides lol.

Everyone is OP in DC Comics depending on who is writing them. But considering she has the exact power she needs when she needs it, I'll bet she'll be pretty OP this season.

I’m sure it’ll be explained. I’m more curious as to whether once it is explained will she have control over all of these powers and become an OP character.
2019-08-27 15:36:06 +0000 UTC
Yeah I don’t get that either. The show is clearly making it a mystery - you’re supposed to wonder why she can do all of this. Getting frustrated about it doesn’t make sense to me.

Ironic considering he voices him in Teen Titans.

I don't get Eric's stance on Halo, he doesn't like that she has so many unexplained powers.. But he knows it's obviously going to be explained.
Wouldn't you just be intrigued to find out the reveal, then decide if you buy the excuse for her powers afterwards. And not hate it until it's explained.

I find it hilarious that he voices almost every black character EXCEPT cyborg.

Oh wait that’s right. I mistook her when I first watched as well because of how similar they looked.

She's not, Livewire is Leslie Willis... And they're not even voiced by the same actress.
Harper Row in the comics becomes a character named Bluebird as Batman's sidekick, kind of like Robin but her own unique name/identity..
The Show is just seeding potential future characters, like they did with Garr in season 1.

I swear they get Payton to do like every black character in the show: Kaldur, black lightning, black manta, robotman, brick, Vic's teammate, ROCKETS KID and like a bunch of background characters

Been looking forward to this one! A well done Cyborg origin. Gotta admit though, I don’t get Eric’s frustration. The show has pretty clearly been implying that there’s a big mystery about what Halo can do and why - you are not supposed to know, you’re supposed to be questioning why she has these abilities. Getting irritated about her having these powers when it’s clearly meant to be unusual and a mystery is weird. Idk.
