2019-10-31 17:09:18 +0000 UTCIt's incredible how this show so deftly walked a line between comedy, drama, frivolity and seriousness and never put a foot wrong. it knows exactly what it wants to be and it demands that you invest in it on its own terms. The final clincher was the perfect casting, which is crucial for an ensemble piece like this. There have been some great new shows in 2019 (the Boys, Haunting of Hill House among them, with strong styles, great writing and original vision) but this one topped them all for me.
