Kadhizi 01 - Cal's Prison

Hey everyone!

Today we are very excited to welcome you to our newest borough: Kadhizi! This is an entire city within a genie-trapping pitcher,  a sandy demiplanar prison filled with scores of genies and other unfortunate souls who have become locked inside. Once the party stumbles upon Kadhizi, it's likely already too late. They'll need to use their wits to find a way out of the ewer or perish as the demiplane collapses around them.

The Borough Guide

This introduction to Kadhizi explains the origins of the city in a ewer. Learn about the imperialist pillager Calvin Kensington and his egregious misdeeds. Discover a brand new quintet of genie variants to introduce into you campaigns. Finally, help LIMINA courier Rexi Raerqen complete her delivery, or dillydally too long and suffer the consequences of the imploding ewer.

Maps

This first quadrant of Kadhizi features the palace in which Calvin Kensington is imprisoned, the homes of some of the town's enigmatic genies, and your first glimpse of the life-giving reservoir that allows the walkers (i.e. mortals) to survive in the desert sands. Then, change up the mood, as the city takes on a much cooler subdued vibe at night. Finally, when things are at their worst, your party will have to contend with massive chunks of plummeting etched gold if Calvin's life is ever snuffed out.

Music

Perfectly set the scene for any desert adventure with our track "Centuries of Sand." This Middle-Eastern romp evokes Arabian adventures, towering minarets, and magic carpet rides. Exciting rhythms and bold harmonies give you the sense that not all is well under the desert sun. Patrons at the Chief Courier tier or higher also get access to a nighttime variant for quieter, stealthier affairs.

Delirium Genie | Collaboration with The Fluffy Folio

We are so excited to share our first collaboration this week! The Fluffy Folio will graciously be presenting us with art for each of the new types of genies you'll encounter in Kadhizi. First up is the terrifying Delirium Genies, one of the primary antagonists of those living in the ewer. The Fluffy Folio makes incredible monster statblocks with gorgeous illustrations.
