Nulvarith - Definitive Edition

This is the Definitive Edition release of Nulvarith. Below, you'll find new fully stitched maps, VTT tokens, the edited borough guide, a map asset pack, bonus goodies, and more! These releases are always huge projects for us, so please let us know if anything is missing, if links are broken, or if anything else seems wrong.

Borough Guide

Patrons at the General Messenger and Chief Courier tier can now download the Definitive Edition Borough Guide! We fixed a few errors and added a table of contents. Most importantly, everything is now contained in a single 67-page PDF! You can grab the Definitive Edition PDF via this link.

VTT Tokens

All patrons can download the full suite of Nulvarith VTT Tokens via this link.

Foundry Module

The Nulvarith Foundry module is completed! The whole setting is implemented (with all of the variant maps!), interior maps are in place, and music + PDF are all ready to use as well. Patrons at the Chief Courier tier can grab the Nulvarith Foundry Module via the Chief Courier Master Post. If you notice any issues with the Foundry module, please just ping us, and we'll make sure to edit and update ASAP!

Maps

We've got high-res maps of the shattered planet that are ungridded, seamless, and glorious. We have seven versions of the map: Original, Desert, Space, Spooky, Storm, Storm Aftermath, and Underwater. The variant maps are only available to patrons at the General Messenger tier and up!

Map Assets

We've released a new set of map assets! Please note that we've completely overhauled our asset pack making workflow, and thus, we have to admit that this pack is an order of magnitude cleaner and more useful than any previous pack. If you dig these, we'll stick to this process moving forward.

This bundle of mechanical parts includes 42 .pngs of pipes, engines, metal canisters, and all sorts of other steampunk goodies. Fill out your mechanical dungeons and airship engine rooms in style. With these diverse assets, you can completely transform your custom maps, whether you use DungeonDraft, Inkarnate, MS Paint, or any other map-making software. We release new asset bundles with each Definitive Edition but only for our Chief Courier patrons! You can also buy the asset pack separately from our Patreon Shop.

Bonus Content

We've got a pack of Nulvarith bonus content for you all! Patrons can download the Nulvarith Bonus Content via this link. Here's what you'll find:

• There's a Lesson Here is a brand new track from our composer Will. No matter how you play your Nulvarith adventure, there's a good chance a lot of people are going to get hurt. This is the track for reinforcing brutal consequences.

• Matt made some bonus interiors for y'all! Agent Ondell Pinsk's tent seems pretty safe and normal, but just don't go digging in the hatch underneath!

• We really wanted to augment the audio landscape of Alvist's Portable Wizard Tower. Accordingly, we asked Michael Ghelfi Studio to hook us up with two music tracks and a Wizard Tower ambience.

  • Ghelfi asked us to hype his Patreon (of course), but also their awesome audio service Opus. Opus has an insane amount of features, it's fully compatible with Foundry, and it's got music from a bunch of great composers. Plus, it now lets users upload their audio files, so you can totally use it with BB tunes!

  • Also... if you ever need ambiences for your games (crowded markets, humming steampunk engines, etc), Michael Ghelfi is the one and only GOAT of that space. There's a reason none of the rest of us audio nerds even bother competing.

• We really wanted some sort of art to represent Nulvarith before it was shattered, plus maybe something from the shattering itself. Well, as usual, our homies at Czepeku had us sorted. They contributed scenes for Nulvarith mid-shattering. This is part of the Czepeku Sci-Fi Scenes project, available exclusively at their website.
