Terrain Tiles: Campsite

Hey guys,

This is the first in what I'd like to make a regular entry into the maps that I make here. I've heard from a lot of you, and taken polls in an effort to make sure I provide useful, quality assets that see use in your games. Lots of people love the Build-Your-Own kits that let them make their own maps, and I love those too. Others prefer the full setpiece maps, that don't require assembly, and I also understand that. The reason I started sharing maps in the first place is that I know how time-consuming it can be to prep for a game.

What everyone agrees on is that maps that fill in the gaps in adventures, that aren't overly specific or niche, are the most useful.

I've been thinking a lot about how to get the best of both worlds: assets that can be customized to fit a session, but look good and don't take long to put together. As an experiment, I started creating these, hexagonal tiles that are individually dressed and lit to look good, but can be easily slapped together mid-session to create a full map, without having to position each and every png into position.

I'm super happy with the results, and I really hope you all will agree and be excited about the convenience a full library of these sorts of tiles, and the sheer amount of possibilities they can bring to a DM doing things on the fly.

So, here they are, 8 seamless tiles for your next adventure. PNG files of the individual assets will be provided as a patron perk in the next post.

Lots of love,

Ryan

These are FANTASTIC and exactly what I've been searching everywhere for. So glad I found your patreon!

I'm still putting those together. Because of the way that I made these, I feel like I need to separate the PSD elements into a more organized format. As it is, I essentially flatted the colors in like normal in one huge document, and hid elements then clipped them and... it's utterly chaotic. It was really efficient for me to create the PNGs, but not so efficient for making a PSD that would be approachable for you all, so I have to reorganize it all. I should have it up tomorrow or the next day.
