Also, Commander's physical strain is caused by being in close proximity to the Class 1 human... Luca feels nothing because... as we've discovered, he's an "original". Therefore the Human Class system doesnt matter to him. He doesnt understand this now, but all in good time.

The new age of Bastil are losing their immunity to the humans because they are coming in contact with their energy so frequently. Think of class 1 as like... a bad allergic reaction that theyve developed over time. The Originals that remained pure and kept a strong bloodline dont have the same allergy.
