Thanks for the great video, I am here partially due to this video :D but will be here for time to come :) Would love to see more of these, whenever possible. The discussion in this thread, yes, games like TLOU2 and RDR2 are costly and hard to make. There was this article where Rockstar might not be looking to make large games like GTAV or RDR2 anymore, I do not know how factual this is though. https://www.vg247.com/2020/04/16/gta-6-smaller-scale-rockstar-crunch/ But I hope these companies do not leave SP content behind and focus more on MP and gradual updates for the latter. I personally love the game length for these games although it is a bit hard to find time to play them as much as I would want to now with a job. At the same time, I can understand the crunch and cost to make these titles to the standards that they have. But, without them, this is a hard thing to say without being at the spot yourself, but without these games, we would not have these experiences which cannot be compared to anything else. I am not saying that these are the best games, and nothing can be compared to them, there are a lot of other games that are great. But these games push the field even more, in their own way, be it artistic or technical boundaries. Games are selling more than ever now, the turnaround for these AAA(A) titles might be more then what it was 5 years ago, but that is in sync with development costs. I do not know what the split/proportion is here. 2K is making NBA games $ 10 more expensive for the next gen consoles, not all their games or even other companies might be following this. But things are changing, hopefully for the better, increasing dev costs, increase in number of players and sales for multiple games.
