But it can still be daunting. :) Another Idea, there is a youtuber named Janovich whom has great like battlefield top down lore review of the Siege of Vraks, that features the Imperial Guard regiment "Death Korps of Krieg". I wouldn't worry too much about lore but either way - I hope you're able to find something to sink your teeth into!

2024-12-17 21:09:59 +0000 UTCThat was always my problem with 40k, Iโd get some passing reference to a chapter or whatever, be like โhmm that sounds like something interesting to read aboutโ and then open onto a 400,000 word wiki page with jargon hyperlinking to even more thousands of words. 30 open tabs that eventually get archived by Chrome and as much as my ADHD reading can manage and Iโm back out until the next time it happens.

A lot of potential - they fight for honor of their house, their knight, and their imperium. The throne they sit on collects the consciousness of all pilots, so it's the pilot plus hundreds of voices in their head. They lay down their life to defend innocent's and for honor, not afraid to sacrifice themselves if necessary. Being 40K the knights are venerated machines with their own entourage of tech priests to take care of them. If you want, a good book with a good knight story is Assassinorum: Kingmaker.
