So, I’ll save most of my comments for the last movie… Levi telling Hange “give your heart” before her “supremely cool exit” is so heartbreaking & touching. But what really chokes me up about Hange’s death is when at her end she still marveled at the magnificence of the titans. She always saw titans in a different perspective than other characters, which made her extremely eccentric. But it reminds me that the world needs people sparked by the eccentricities of their curiosity to explore & learn about the world’s mysteries in ways most people wouldn’t fathom or dare to approach.

It’s something in life I’ve learned, there’s already so much negativity in the world, I just know it makes me feel good to try to be as positive as I can be and hopefully share that feeling with others like you two. Most importantly it gives me, and I’m sure many others here also so much joy to watch you two enjoy something we care so much about, and also this community bonding over anime. So thank you so much for that Jason and Heather! Now onto AOT… what an incredible reaction! Right from the beginning you see the pure brutality the rumbling is causing. It feels like there’s no hope. You really start to feel the burden of saving the world that the joined forces have taken upon. Then you have Hange making the ultimate sacrifice…. it was so heartbreaking but also so bad ass watching her go out the way she did so that her comrades and humanity can have a fighting chance. The end of the first movie is so intense and gives you a glimpse of what’s to come. I truly can’t wait for you two to see the finale so we can finally talk about the end of AOT. Hopefully we can have a discussion video so we can do that, because I have a lot to say lol. The ending is such an edge of your seat emotional roller coaster, I hope you’re ready for one of the greatest stories ever told to finally come to its end. I personally loved the ending and I can’t wait to tell you why. Hopefully you guys will feel the same, no matter what though, Jason and Heather I’m glad we’ll all be experiencing it with you! Love you guys! See you at the end!

It’s not like Game of Thrones for one key reason: Isayama is actually writing the end, unlike Game of Thrones, where the showrunners had to make their own version. People had issues with the ending for different reasons, but many liked it too — I’m one of them. I can’t say more without spoilers, so I’ll stop here. One thing I wanted to point out is a cool but tragic detail: when Eren says, “This is freedom” as a child in the clouds, the view beneath him is death, blood, and apocalyptic destruction, but he only sees the blue sky and white clouds. It’s like a coping mechanism, mentally blocking himself from seeing the horrors because the guilt is too much. He also reverts back to a child in that moment.
