2024-11-12 00:45:35 +0000 UTCThe thing about anime is that strength maters. In the case of Sanji learning a lesson about how to treat women isn't going to make him stronger. Yes, Sanji wants the recipes, but they aren't the only point. Sanji might be able to take the 'clever' path and seduce the recipes from them, but that wouldn't make Sanji stronger. In western media if the weaker person is clever, they can beat the all-powerful enemy. This is not the case in One Piece, a clever plan can increase your odds of success, but if you are weak, you won't be able to win. I love clever characters, but I wish we would take a step back from them. I love long running series, and the 'clever' answer works in opposition of long running series. All you need to do is give them a weapon lost to time to defeat the all-powerful enemy and that is it. A story where strength matters cannot be completed quickly the story can only be told as a long running series. I lost my point along the way, anyway learning a short lesson won't allow Sanji to fight on the level required in the New World.

Just ew to their whole crew BUT the Blackbeard pirates are a true pirate crew from the way they act and go about their ways which in my opinion makes the villain role they play even more impactful. Also one of my favorite parts of one piece is when they show other things that are currently going on in the world. I sometimes even like those parts better than when we’re hanging with the strawhat crew. The world building is so good. Also I heard Jason mention reacting to bleach sometime in the future. Just known when you guys react to bleach I’ll probably be the biggest bleach fan in the comments. ❤️
